Omnivise T3000 Operations and Monitoring course (OT3K_OPM)

Short Description

  • The course is applicable for power plant operating personnel. The participant will learn the Omnivise T3000 operating functions, and how to use the operating view for tasks associated with process management and information. Classes scheduled must meet at least four students minimum. Course can also be scheduled upon request at customer’s facilities.

Objectives

  • Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
    • Explain the operation of the control system and network
    • Describe the plant displays available in the system
    • Understand pictograms and faceplates
    • Navigate the online documentation
    • Use the trending, archiving and reporting features
    • Create a user-specific display
    • Understand the advanced features of the Alarm Sequence Display (ASD)
    • Troubleshoot alarms using dynamic function plans and diagnostic view
    • Be able to access the on-line help (embedded in the Omnivise T3000 software) when needed
    • Utilize the Alarm Sequence Display to “pin point” the exact location of the specific Alarm/Warning
    • Fully understand how to run various kinds of reports.

Target Group

  • Plant Operators or any individuals seeking the operating functionality of T3000. Knowledge of PC operations using MS Windows® and prior experience with a DCS control system is desirable.

    • Online help
  • Practical exercises on a demonstration system, normal operation and handling of exceptional situations.

Prerequisites

  • A basic background in logic control and in digital computer techniques.

  • This course is provided at Orlando, FL training facility. Course can also be scheduled, upon request, at customer’s facilities or remote.
