Simulator Based Operation Training / SOP-5 (SOP-5)

Objectives

  • Extensive and repeated hands-on practice in normal plant start-up, operation and shutdown procedures on a power plant control simulator that provides the vehicle for gaining experience in controlling, recognizing and interpreting the interactions between the various plant units.
  • The operators will gain experience in handling some abnormal situations by reacting on "what if" scenarios.

Target Group

  • Control room engineers and technicians.

Content

  •  
    • Review main logic features of T3000
    • Review and practice of main T3000 operation tools
    • Introduction into Gas turbine controllers, Introduction into Bypass and steam turbine controllers
    • Plant cold startup of power plant to base load - operator guidance, automatic and manual
    • Warm start-up of power plant after shutdown, Hot restart of power plant after trip
    • Compressor offline washing
    • Automatic turbine test - ATT
    • Selected abnormal operation

Prerequisites

  •  
    • Knowledge of power plant fundamentals is mandatory
    • Participation in the course Power Plant Operation Training (SIMSC-5 or SIMCC-5)
