Combined Cycle Power Plant Operation Training / SIMCC (SIMCC-5)

Objectives

  • Extensive and repeated hands-on practice in normal plant start-up, operation and shutdown procedures on a power plant control simulator that provides the vehicle for gaining experience in controlling, recognizing and interpreting the interactions between the various plant units.

  •  
    • Process displays, trends and report functions
    • Alarm sequence display
    • Understanding of function diagrams and logic structures
    • Detailed work through main sub group control
    • Interaction of gas turbine, steam turbine and heat recovery steam generator processes
    • Plant start up, load monitoring and changing, plant shut-down
    • Alarms and responses
    • Selected malfunctions and abnormal operation scenarios

Prerequisites

  • Knowledge about power plant fundamentals is mandatory.

  • Location: O&M Training Center in Erlangen, worldwide on site or remotely via web-based simulator.
